An official announcement was made at the end of December 2015 that Chief Instructor Andy Davies had been selected to receive the award of a 'British Citizen's Medal' for services to education and the community, to be presented at a special ceremony in the Palace of Westminster at the end of January 2016.

Chief Instructor Andy Davies attended a special 'British

Citizens Award' medal presentation ceremony along with 32

other recipients from across the UK at the Palace of

Westminster on 28th January 2016.

After the official investiture ceremony, recipients were

presented to awaiting press photographers and media

before embarking on a 'Lap of Honour'

around Westminster with VIP Guests, on

a fleet of open top buses.

Medal recipients were then taken to an

                                offcial reception where further presentations

were made of certificates from the Duchess

of York and each medallist made a short

                                acceptance speech.
